Mokokchung, 6 March (MTNews): Nagaland State BJP Mahila Morcha held a 3-day Nari Shakti Vandhan under the leadership and initiative of National Mahila BJP President and sitting MLA of South Coimbatore, Vanathi Srinivasan. These 3-day events were held across the country where BJP Mahila members and Karyakartas participated, a press release said.
In Nagaland, a marathon was organized in all the Districts and Mandals on 4 March 2024, where participants including college girls and first time voters participated.
On 5 March, a walkathon was organized where all participants were briefed on the importance of availing the various welfare schemes introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, especially for womenfolk.
On the final day of the “3 Days Nari Shakti Vandhan,” the State Mahila Morcha has organized a Live Screening of PM Modi’s address where “huge turnout from women NGOs and Self Help Groups attended the Program in Dimapur Tourist Lodge,” the press release said.
Abhay Giri, State General Secretary (Org) In-charge of Manipur and Nagaland State, and National Mahila Morcha Secretary Aienla Jamir were also in attendance along with State BJP officials.
Aienla Jamir exhorted the women NGOs and SHGs about the importance of the various welfare schemes implemented by Modi for the empowerment of women and urged them to avail the schemes for the uplift of women in particular and the community in general.
The 3-day event concluded all over Nagaland with Live Screening and telecast of Prime Minister Modi’s address from West Bengal, it said.
38 Mandals and 11 Districts attended the program with participation of about 700 women from all over the State, it added.
