Advisor for Information Technology & Communication, Nagaland, Sethrongkyu H Sangtam, called on Union Minister for Electronics & IT and Railways, Government of India, Ashwini Vaishnaw, on April 9, 2025, at his office chamber in New Delhi and submitted a proposal for the establishment of an IT Park in the state of Nagaland.

According to a DIPR report, during the interaction, the Union Minister assured that the proposal for setting up an IT Park in Nagaland would be taken up on priority for consideration and approval.

“It is worth highlighting that while the world-class infrastructure of the Software Technology Park of India (STPI) in Kohima is currently providing various facilities and support to local youth and entrepreneurs, the state still lacks a dedicated IT Park. Such infrastructure is essential for boosting economic activity and attracting IT industries to Nagaland,” the report added.
