The Nagaland Super League (NSL) is all set to launch its inaugural season from January 28 to March 31. This landmark event, touted as the biggest football showdown in the state, will feature seven top local clubs competing for the coveted championship title.


Organized by the Nagaland Football Association and sponsored by the Government of Nagaland, the league is also supported by the Nagaland Olympic Association and the Department of Youth Resources & Sports. The NSL is officially approved and licensed by the All-India Football Federation (AIFF).

The NSL informed in a press release that the matches will be held every Wednesday and Saturday, offering an exciting midweek and weekend activity for football enthusiasts. The matches will take place at two venues: Chümoukedima Football Stadium and Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima. NSL informed that complete match fixtures will be announced soon.

Founded on August 27, 2024, this club embodies the theme “Peace Through Sports,” uniting football enthusiasts in Kohima to promote peace and community through the beautiful game.

· Barak Football Club
A legacy of dedication and excellence, Barak FC has established itself as one of the leading clubs in Nagaland, focusing on player development and community engagement while achieving numerous championships.

· Longterok Football Club
Founded in 2024, Longterok FC is committed to nurturing local talent from grassroots levels and aims to be a beacon of football excellence by establishing academies in Nagaland.

· Nagaland United Sports Club (NUSC)
Established in 2024, NUSC promotes unity and progress through sports while empowering youth to become valuable assets to society through training and opportunities.

· Red Scars Football Club
Founded in 2019, Red Scars FC aims to promote young local footballers and has achieved significant success in domestic tournaments while planning to establish an academy for future talents.

· Sechü Zubza Football Club (SZFC)
Established in 2018, SZFC focuses on grassroots development and has won multiple trophies while managing a non-residential academy to scout young football talent.

· Frontier Warriors Football Club
Based in Tuensang, Frontier Warriors FC was established to fulfil the dreams of local football enthusiasts. The club is dedicated to nurturing budding talents and aims to make a significant impact on Nagaland’s football scene through grassroots development.
