The Nagaland Taekwondo team delivered a stellar performance at the 4th India Open National Taekwondo Championship, securing a total of 9 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal. The championship was held in Goa from December 13 to 15, 2024, with 17 players and 3 officials representing the state.
The team dominated the competition across various categories, with gold medal wins from the Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior, and Senior divisions.

The team, led by Team Coach Visabiu Peseyie and Assistant Coach Keneingulie Khezhie, was managed by Neitolie Peseyie. The Nagaland Taekwondo team’s stellar performance at this prestigious event has brought pride to the state, showcasing the immense talent and dedication of its athletes. All the players are from the Sports Academy at IG Stadium, Kohima.
