Nagaland is set to face Goa in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 Plate Group finals. The match is scheduled to be held from January 23 to 27 at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima.

By reaching the Plate Group finals, both teams have secured promotion to the Elite category for the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season.
“This historic clash marks a proud moment for Nagaland as the team has already qualified to play for the elites for the 2025-2026 season by making it through to the finals of the prestigious Ranji Trophy Plate Group,” the Nagaland Cricket Association informed in an update.
The five-day contest promises high-quality cricket action, showcasing the grit, skill, and determination of both teams as they battle for the Plate Group title.
Team Goa will be led by Head Coach Dinesh Mongia and Captain Darshan Misal, with standout players such as Arjun Tendulkar, Suyash Prabhudesai, KV Siddharth, and Snehal Kautankar. Meanwhile, Team Nagaland will be guided by Head Coach Debashish Mohanty and Captain Jonathan Rongsen. Key players to watch from Nagaland include Suchith J, Nischal Dega, Chetan Bisht, Imliwati Lemtur, Sedezhalie Rupreo, and Hokaito Zhimomi.
