The Department of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Nagaland, has issued a notification for the observance of Earth Hour on March 28, 2026, marking 20 years of the global movement led by WWF-India (World Wide Fund for Nature-India).
The Earth Hour will be observed on Saturday from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM, as part of the global initiative to create “The Biggest Hour for Earth”.
Appealing to citizens, the department urged all to support the cause and raise awareness about environmental issues by switching off all non-essential lights in offices, workplaces, and homes during the designated hour.
The department called on individuals and institutions to actively participate in the observance and contribute towards environmental conservation.
