The Union Minister is scheduled to visit the College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Jalukie, in Peren district on May 15, 2025. During his visit, he will inaugurate the newly constructed Administrative-cum-Academic Block and officially open the Farmers Fair 2025. The high-profile event will also be attended by the Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan, and Deputy Chief Minister T.R. Zeliang. In light of the occasion, the ADC urged all Heads of Offices to ensure their presence at the programme.

Highlighting the importance of the Minister’s visit, ADC Ezung stressed the need for seamless coordination among departments to present a well-organized and collaborative front. He extended his gratitude to the officers for attending the meeting and reiterated the significance of their roles in ensuring smooth government functioning in the sub-division.

A key issue addressed during the meeting was the growing concern over government land encroachment. Several department heads raised specific instances of encroachment affecting their offices. Responding to these concerns, the ADC reminded all departments of their responsibility to protect government property and advised them to secure legal documents such as land pattas or permits where not already in place. Any cases of encroachment, he said, must be promptly reported to the District Administration.

In his concluding remarks, ADC Ezung called for greater diligence and commitment from all government functionaries. Emphasizing public service, he urged officials to remain regular in their duties and ensure that their absence does not hinder public access to essential services. He also encouraged departments implementing Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSS) to actively inform the public about the available benefits and ensure wider outreach.
