Is youngest Indian player selected for IPL 2022 bidding

: 17-year-old cricketer from Nagaland, Khrievitso Kense, has been listed for the IPL bidding 2022. Kense is a right arm leg spin bowler, selected by the Reliance Foundation-backed Mumbai Indians as per report, and is the youngest Indian player to be listed for the 2022 auctions with a reserve base price of Rs 20 lakh.
Kense was shortlisted for the IPL auction in 2021 as well. At that time, IPL teams like Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians were eyeing the youngest player in an auction pool of 292 players. The lone cricketer from Nagaland, to be listed for the IPL auctions, is at the moment camping at Nagaland Cricket Academy, Sovima. Talking to Mokokchung Times, the soft spoken Kense said he was excited at the news of his name being listed for the IPL 2022 auctions.

Auction on February 12 & 13

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 Player Auction list is out with a total of 590 cricketers set to go under the hammer during the two-day mega auction, according to a media advisory published on the IPL official website. The auction will take place in Bengaluru on February 12 and 13, 2022. This will be the 15th season of the IPL and some of the biggest stars of world cricket will be coming together to light up the prestigious tournament. Amongst 590 players who have registered for the auction, 228 are capped players, 355 are uncapped players and 7 belong to Associate Nations.
