Nagaland-based pop rock band Trance Effect is set to open for legendary rock band Def Leppard during their India tour, marking a major milestone for the independent band from Northeast India. Trance Effect will perform on March 25 in Shillong at the RSDSA Sports Complex as part of Def Leppard’s three-city tour in India.
The band has steadily built a reputation for its energetic live performances and emotionally driven songwriting. In January 2026, Trance Effect performed at Lollapalooza India, sharing the lineup with global acts such as Linkin Park, LANY, Calum Scott, The Midnight, and Kehlani, among others. Last month, the band also shared the stage with American rapper and songwriter Raja Kumari.
Trance Effect has also made notable international appearances, performing last year at the Big Mountain Music Festival, the largest outdoor music festival in Thailand, and at the HOZO Tet Festival, one of the biggest music festivals in Vietnam. The band has also performed in Singapore, further expanding its presence across Asia.
Known for carrying the sound of Northeast India to larger stages, Trance Effect continues to grow its presence both nationally and internationally. Opening for Def Leppard now adds another defining chapter to the band’s journey.
