Dimapur, February 25 (MTNews): “There is only one alliance in Nagaland, and that is between the NDPP and the BJP,” National BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli stated in response to the claims of Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) that the party is a natural ally of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Kohli, in an exclusive interview with NE-8 also said, “We are fighting 60 seats – 40 under the globe, 20 under the lotus. 60 candidates are joint candidates of the alliance.”

He reiterated that the voters should not be misled by the claims of National Congress Party (NCP) and LJP (RV) or any other political parties, saying that the 60 candidates are joint candidates of the alliance.

Kohli argued that every political party has the right to assert anything it wants while referring to the LJP (RV)’s statement that they are the kingmakers.

In response to the claim that the LJP (RV) only fields candidates in seats where the BJP is not running, Kohli drew a comparison to how there are reports that the NCP only fields candidates in seats where the BJP is running.

“These parties are political tools,” he said, claiming that both parties have no long-term interest in Nagaland.
