Kohima, 8 May (MTNews): With the aim of enhancing educational quality and fostering holistic student development, the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has compiled a booklet titled “Transforming School Education through NEP.” This booklet highlights key reforms within the perspective of the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCFSE) 2023. The soft copy of the booklet is now available on the Board’s portal nbsenl.edu.in, while hard copies can be obtained from the Board’s office.

The NCFSE 2023 provides a comprehensive framework covering various aspects of education, including aims, curricular areas, school stages, learning standards, pedagogy, content, assessment, cross-cutting themes, school culture, processes, and creating a supportive ecosystem. To facilitate easy reference, the booklet discusses some of the key reforms expected to be implemented in the Registered Institutions under the Board.

All institutions are urged to develop plans for implementing these recommended reforms and take actionable steps accordingly. It is essential for institutions to monitor and evaluate the implementation of these reforms regularly. This practice can help identify successful initiatives, areas requiring adjustments, and strategies for improvement. Heads of Institutions are mandated to make every effort to implement these reforms as outlined in the document. Additionally, as institutions develop effective strategies, they are encouraged to share their best practices with other schools. This collaborative effort aims to enhance the overall quality of education across the entire state.

To further this initiative, institutions are required to document and share the effective and innovative strategies they have employed in implementing these reforms under the category of “Best Innovative Practices.” Reports, accompanied by supporting photographs and short videos, must be submitted to the Board via email at academicnbse@gmail.com by 30 September 2024.
