The Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers Union (NCSU), led by its president, Pele Khezhie, visited the Tabitha Enabling Centre at Sepfuzou Colony on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day. The Union provided essential commodities to the Centre’s students and faculty ahead of the holiday on 15th August.
The NCSU noted that the Academy, which currently serves 35 students with disabilities, is run by a group of dedicated young individuals from Nagaland. The Centre operates in partnership between Asanuo Seb and Vekutilu Vese Ngone, both graduates of Oriental Theological Seminary.
“This Centre is non-profit; it’s purely a noble initiative and a home for individuals with disabilities,” the NCSU stated.
During the visit, the proprietors shared their vision of integrating individuals with disabilities into the mainstream, emphasizing their humanity. They also highlighted that the Academy is sustained by faith and receives no government sponsorship.
The NCSU expressed its concern for the Centre’s mission and called on well-wishers, individuals, and groups to extend their support to this noble cause, which aims to uplift individuals with disabilities and help them see the value of life. The Union stressed that such contributions would serve as a lasting source of inspiration to everyone involved.
