The Nagaland Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) will hold a public hearing on November 10 to consider the generation tariff petition filed by Gujarat-based Soleos Energy Limited for its proposed 15 MW solar power plant at Tuli, Mokokchung district.

The hearing will begin at 11 am at the NERC office in Kohima, according to a notification issued by the Commission.

The company had published a summary of its tariff petition in two leading English-language local newspapers on October 8, inviting suggestions and objections from concerned stakeholders. Submissions are to be made to the Secretary, NERC, by October 30.

The public hearing will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to present their views on the proposed generation tariff before the Commission determines the tariff for the project.

The proposed solar power plant is planned for Tuli in Nagaland. The notification, however, does not specify a timeline for construction or commencement of power generation.
