In an Executive meeting held today at Dimapur, the Nagaland Foothills Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC) expressed concern over the failure of some selected contractors to sign the Implementing Agreement despite two consecutive requests. The committee firmly resolved that no absentee firms would be allowed to execute the awarded works unless they sign the agreement.

The NFHRCC urged the remaining contractors to sign the agreement within the stipulated timeframe, as the 15-day duration to commence execution of works will expire on December 21, 2024, according to the work orders. Failure to comply will result in the cancellation of the work orders.

The committee, along with the respective Divisional Executive Engineers and teams, also adopted various resolutions where the NFHRCC reiterated that the Foothills Road project is an extraordinary initiative, often referred to as a “people’s project,” and emphasized the need for full dedication and cooperation from all stakeholders. The committee made it clear that work specifications outlined in the estimates must be strictly adhered to without compromise.

The committee further decided that bills for executed works would not be released unless verified and approved through a No Objection Certificate (NOC). Additionally, non-completion of assigned works within the prescribed timeframe will result in disqualification of the work order, with no provision for part payments or compensations.

It was also resolved that the concerned department will depute officials to the work sites regularly and strictly maintain the site book with the latest updates. In the event of any disputes or misunderstandings arising during the execution of the project, the NFHRCC will adjudicate the matter, and its decisions will be final and binding on all parties.
