The Department of Higher Education, Nagaland, is implementing the Nagaland Government Ex-Gratia Scheme for Students Studying Outside Nagaland (NGESSO), which provides an ex gratia assistance of Rs 5 lakh in the event of the unfortunate death of an indigenous Naga student from Nagaland studying outside the state in any part of the country.
To avail of the scheme, students are required to register with the Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland.
For the academic year 2026-2027, the Registration Form (Fresh/Renewal) and other relevant information are available for download on the Directorate’s website: https://highereducation.nagaland.gov.in.
The last date for submission of the registration form is September 30, 2026.
