Opposition to the proposed installation of the Indian Air Force (IAF) Mountain Radar System in Pfutsero is intensifying, with the Naga National Council/Federal Government of Nagaland (NNC/FGN) becoming the first Naga Political Group to publicly oppose the reported project.

The NNC/FGN declared that it “will never allow” such a move not only in Pfutsero but across Nagaland.

In a statement issued on May 18 by the Secretary of the Killo Ministry, Federal Government of Nagaland, the NNC/FGN described the proposed radar system as that of an “aggressor” and expressed outright prohibition against its installation.
