Kohima, 29 November (MTNews): The Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) on Wednesday informed that the Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2024, which was earlier scheduled to be held from 8-13 January 2024, have been rescheduled to 12-17 February 2024.

The NOA said in a notification that the decision to this effect was made at its Consultative Meeting with the affiliated sports associations and stakeholders held on 25th November 2023.

It was also informed that Men’s T20 Cricket will be included in the Nagaland Olympic & Paralympic Games 2024. This decision was taken in consultation with the Nagaland Cricket Association and in view of the International Olympic Committee’s decision to make cricket an Olympic sport.

It was informed that the registration of players will now begin from 10-17 January and that there will be no change of names once players are registered.

All sports associations of the participating disciplines have been requested to submit their competition manuals along with the list of organizing committee members (name and phone number) to the NOA office on or before 12 December 2023.

The Games Organization Committee will provide accommodation, local transport, food and technical competition arrangements in the host city. Detailed information about arrival and departure will be communicated separately, the NOA informed.

The coordinating officials from NOA are Ms Kajiiloni Krichena (Sports Operations Manager) +91 8415035565 and Ms Khuvinu Tase (Office Assistant) +91-8415035548. They can be contacted between 2:00 PM 5:00 PM on working days (Monday to Friday).

All the districts have been requested to appoint a Chef de Mission and two Deputy de Mission. The names, contact numbers and e-mail address of these officials may be sent to the NOA on nagaolym@gmail.com latest by 12 December 2023, the notification informed.
