Mokokchung, May 2 (MTNews): The Naga People’s Front Central Youth Wing, NPF Central Women Wing and NPF Mokokchung Division has congratulated the newly elected Leader of the NPF Legislature Party, Kuzholuzo Nienu MLA and Dr. Nganshi K Ao MLA on his new assignment as the Party Chief Whip.
The Youth Wing while expressing its resentment over the defection of 21 of its MLAs to another political party including its former leader TR Zeliang asserted that their desertion cannot weaken the party and that it will revamp and revive the party with the remaining 4 MLAs. While giving its respect and salute to the 4 MLAs for standing firm with the principle and ideology of the regionalism, the youth wing reaffirmed its fullest support to the leadership of Party President, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu and Leader of the Legislature Wing, Kuzholuzo Nienu and all its leaders.
The Youth Wing also reiterated to the Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio that NPF being a partner of the UDA Government should do justice and award the UDA Chairmanship and Cabinet berth to among the 4 NPF MLAs.
While lamenting on the unfortunate turn of event of the party, where 21 of its MLAs had abandoned the party, the Central Women Wing expressed gratitude and respect to the few leaders who have remained with the party. The wing further appealed to all the party rank and files, from the Central to the unit level, not to be deterred or discouraged but to hold steadfast to the party principles and continue to serve the party with integrity. The women’s wing also reaffirmed its support to the leadership of the party President, Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu.
The NPF Mokokchung Division celebrated the Moatsu festival cum divisional meeting today at its party office at Mokokchung. The meeting was attended by all the party members along with central office bearers. At the meeting, the house unanimously accepted to uphold the decision of the NPF Central office for assigning the NPF Legislature Party leader to Kuzhuluzo Nienu MLA and the Party Whip to Dr. Ngangshi K Ao MLA. The NPF Mokokchung Division also expressed their hope that under their leadership, the party will scale greater heights in the future. Further, the division calls upon all the party workers of the division and the state to remain calm and not to be troubled by all the current political news that is appearing in various media platforms.
