Mokokchung, February 22 (MTNews): National People’s Party (NPP) candidate for the 24 Angetyongpang A/C seat, S Maongkaba Ozüküm declared his candidature in Mongsenyimti Village on Wednesday.
The NPP candidate during his address asserted, “I am happy that the Mongsenyimti Village Council has accepted the Gauhati High Court Kohima bench directive to stand in the true electioneering process.”
In his speech, Ozüküm stated that he is running for political office in order to enhance the 24 Angetyongpang A/C and put it on par with the other Assembly Constituencies in the state.
In addition to campaigning for improved road connectivity, the advancement of women, widows, recipients of old age pensions, and youths, as well as for training unskilled youths to become skilled individuals, he claimed that NPP ideology is excellent and comparable to his own.
He concluded by appealing the voters, “Let us create a future by taking the first step to bring about change. Let us take every step carefully so that the next generation is not hindered by our mistakes.”
Earlier, Dr Andrew Ahoto Sema, State President NPP, former candidate Sashimar, and Imnameren, NPP State Secretary, IPR & Media spoke at the event.
