Mokokchung, February 22 (MTNews): The Department of Political Science, Jubilee Memorial College (JMC), Mokokchung organized a panel talk on the topic “Strengthening Clean Election” on February 22 in the College Premises. The Panel Talk was moderated by Imkumer Aier, BA 6th Semester while the panelists included Temnarepba from BA 6th Semester, Nukshibenla from BA 4th Semester and Medemren from BA 4th Semester.

The three panelists shared their viewpoints on the three topics respectively which included- What is the impact of unclean election on us; Role of youth in clean election; and Suggestions to strengthen clean election. The talk was followed by an interactive question and answer session among the panelists and the audience.

 

When asked why the panel discussion was held, Imnasangla, HOD, Department of Political Science, JMC said, “Truth be told, most of our youths are not even aware of clean elections and they do not even know what it means. So, with the purpose to make the youths aware of clean elections, the panel discussion was organized”.
