The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (NSCN/GPRN) has expressed deep gratitude to the Naga people for what it described as a “heart-touching” Homecoming event and a Civic Reception held in honour of Ato Kilonser Th Mulvah in Manipur last month.

According to a statement issued by Francis Ningshen, Secretary of the Organizing Committee, the Homecoming event took place at Ukhrul on October 22, followed by a Civic Reception at Tahamzam (Senapati) on October 29, 2025. The two events marked the Ato Kilonser’s visit to his native region after decades, drawing large public participation.

“Words may not suffice to express our heartfelt gratitude to the Naga people who have made a strong statement in the form of organizing a heart-touching Homecoming event and a Civic Reception in honour of the Hon’ble Ato Kilonser Th. Mulvah’s visit,” the statement read.

Calling the gatherings “unprecedented” and “historic,” the NSCN/GPRN said that generations to come would remember the moment when “an unprecedented public gathering proudly waved the Naga national flag.” The organization stated that it was “deeply touched, inspired, and rejuvenated” by the public show of support.

The NSCN/GPRN also conveyed its appreciation to several Naga civil and frontal bodies, including the United Naga Council (UNC), Naga People’s Organization (NPO), All Naga Students’ Association, Manipur (ANSAM), Naga Women Union (NWU), Naga People’s Movement for Human Rights–South (NPMHR-S), Naga Village Chief Federation (NVCF), and various organizations, students, teachers, and church leaders from Ukhrul and Tahamzam.

“Your impeccable gesture of reception extended towards our Hon’ble Ato Kilonser and his entourage during the entire one-week visit to his hometown Ukhrul, native village Somdal, and to Tahamzam has been truly remarkable, warm, and poignant,” it stated.

The Committee further thanked the Meetei, Meetei-Pangal, Kuki, and Gorkha civil bodies for their solidarity and participation in the programme, describing such gestures as “strengthening partnership in building a progressive and peaceful coexistence.”

Acknowledging the donors and well-wishers, the statement added, “We are indebted to all the donors who have generously contributed financial and material assistance to the Organizing Committee for the success of these events. May God continue to bless you and your family abundantly.”

It also expressed gratitude to the Government of India, the district administrations of Ukhrul and Senapati, traffic police, doctors, nurses, and various departments for their cooperation.

The NSCN/GPRN thanked all individuals who attended the events “from every walk of life and from different places,” adding that their presence “made the day more pleasant, meaningful, and historic.”

The release was signed by Francis Ningshen, Secretary of the Organizing Committee, on behalf of the NSCN/GPRN.
