Mokokchung, August 29 (MTNews): The NSCN (IM) has said that it is grieved by the untimely demise of the following five members on different dates and places due to illnesses:

 

Lieutenant (Posthumous) Thepise Jingru, Army No. AX-40291 of Yambamo Brigade, Naga Army from Chimonger village under United Sangtam Region (USR) on August 25. He joined the Naga national service on October 8, 2005;

 

Lieutenant Colonel (Posthumous) Benathung Tungoe, Army No. KL-20169 of the Security Task Force (STF) Battalion, Naga Army from Rephyim village under Lotha Region on August 28. He joined the Naga national service on December 15, 1994;

 

Corporal (Posthumous) SW Maiya, Army No. 44507/17 of Phungtha Brigade, Naga Army from Tashar village under Wung Tangkhul Region (WTR) on August 28. He joined the Naga national service on February 3, 2017;

 

SN Angpu Lamkang, Leacy of NSCN/GPRN from Leingangching village under Khurmi Region on August 27. He joined the Naga national service in 2015;

 

Tonglichem Sangtam, Razou Peyu of NSCN/GPRN from Phir-Ahire village under United Sangtam Region (USR) on August 28. He joined the Naga national service on July 19, 2012.

 

 

The NSCN (IM) in a condolence message said that they served the Naga nation with unwavering patriotism until their demise. “The void created by their death is deeply felt and would be difficult to fill in. For their selfless contributions to the Naga national cause, their names shall be recorded in the pages of the Naga history and they shall be remembered for all time to come,” it added.

 

 

It also conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayered that the Almighty God will comfort their family members during this time of grief.
