The NSCN-K (Kitovi) group has terminated Major Amento, bearing A/No. 17532 and hailing from Phesami Village in the Sumi Region, from active National Service. The termination, announced by Maj Gen Yekuto Zhimo, Deputy Commander-in-Chief , General Headquarters of the Naga Army, comes in light of serious allegations against Amento, including assaulting fellow comrades, inflicting serious injury, using criminal force against a superior, and abusing alcohol and drugs.
The decision was made under the provisions of the NARRA, specifically Articles 83 (clause II), 85 (clause II), and 92 (clause I, Section b). This order, issued on October 21, 2024, takes immediate effect.
