Mokokchung, 6 February (MTNews): The NSCN-K (YA) expressed deep grief and sorrow at the untimely demise of Lieut Col Winran, Deputy Secretary of GPRN, who passed away from a prolonged illness on 5 February at Myitkyina.
Col Winran was the son of Late Minuk of Ngaimong village under Tangshang region and enrolled into the Naga army with bearing number 19175 in the year 2012. “He was a man of principle who served the Naga nation with full courage and commitment to the best of his knowledge and ability till his last breath,” stated the organization.
It further informed that today, in respect and honor to his selfless national service, the President has posthumously promoted him to his next higher rank of Colonel of the Naga army.
“We convey our deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and pray that God will comfort and bless them during this hour of sadness. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace with the Lord,” it added.
