NSF serves 10-day ultimatum to Nagaland govt on NSSB

Kohima, November 16 (MTNews): The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) has served a 10-day ultimatum to the state government to fulfill a 3-point charter of demands with regard to Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB).

 

The NSF on Wednesday wrote to the Nagaland Chief Secretary demanding that the 12.5% marks allotted in the Viva Voce as advertised vide NO.NSSB/EXAM-4/8/2022 be reduced to 5% in all categories. It also demanded that CCTv cameras be installed in the Interview Room to “effectively monitor the interview process and for necessary perusal.” The NSF further demanded that “representative(s) from Naga Students’ Federation be invited during the interview process as ‘Observer.’”

 

Stating that the demands were in the interest of the youths and students’ community, and in order to ensure fairness and transparency in the examination process, the NSF expressed optimism that the Government of Nagaland will comply with the charter of demands and enforce the same within 10 (ten) days from the date of its official communiqué.

 

The NSF said these demands have been placed to ensure fairness and transparency in the examination process. NSF also expressed satisfaction that the preliminary examination for the Combined Staff Recruitment Examination 2022 has been successfully conducted by Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB), “thus realizing the long cherished dream of thousands of aspirants in the state to equal job opportunity and meritocracy in the process of selection to Group-C posts.”

It also noted that the Nagaland Staff Selection Board has been the culmination of the collective efforts of youths and students’ community, ushered by strong political will of the popular government of the day.
