In a step towards strengthening student welfare and community support, the Naga Students’ Union Bangalore (NSUB) and the Eastern Nagaland Students’ Union Bangalore (ENSUB) have signed two Memorandums of Understanding with St. Claret College (Autonomous), Bengaluru and Sakra World Hospital.
The MoU with St. Claret College aims to enhance opportunities for Naga students by offering fee concessions and access to campus infrastructure for union-led events.
In parallel, NSUB and ENSUB have partnered with Sakra World Hospital to expand healthcare access for the Naga community within and beyond Karnataka. The collaboration provides discounted medical services and extends support to individuals not covered under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme, offering financial relief.
In a joint statement, the Presidents of NSUB and ENSUB said, “These partnerships mark a meaningful step towards building a stronger support system for the Naga community in Bengaluru and beyond. Education is not just about access, but about opportunity, and this MoU ensures that no Naga student is held back by financial or structural barriers.”
They added that improved access to healthcare is equally vital in a city like Bengaluru, especially during medical emergencies, and expressed hope to “empower our community and foster a deeper sense of belonging.”
