The Naga Students’ Union Bengaluru (NSUB) organised a prayer and candlelight vigil at Paalana Bhavana, Benson Town, to honour the memory of eight Naga victims who lost their lives amid the ongoing conflict in Manipur.
The gathering drew over 450 attendees, including members of the Naga community, church leaders, student organisations, representatives of the Karnataka Meitei Association, and well-wishers from across Bengaluru.
The solemn event served as a platform for remembrance, solidarity and collective mourning, while extending support to the bereaved families. Messages delivered during the programme centred on peace, hope, unity and resilience in the face of adversity.
Speaking on the occasion, NSUB stated, “This vigil reflects our shared grief and unwavering solidarity with the affected families. As we gather in prayer and remembrance, we call for justice, healing, and a peaceful resolution that safeguards the dignity and well-being of all communities.”
The union also expressed appreciation to the Zeliangrong Students’ Union Bangalore (ZSUB) for its contribution of time, effort and resources towards the successful conduct of the event.
