Mokokchung, February 13 (MTNews): Nagaland Theological Colleges Association (NTCA) has extended support to the clean election movement under the aegis of Nagaland Baptist Church Council. In a press release, NTCA called upon the theological community and the citizens of the state to be a part of the clean election movement and to voice out against selling votes, proxy voting, intimidation, booth capturing and declaration for a particular candidate. Saying that the public needs to be aware of their voting rights, NTCA urged upon the people to take the issue in line with the Christian values.

The association also appealed to all to promote Christian principles and actively participate in the democratic order of clean election. It said the movement seeks to illuminate the common conscience of those involved in election, so that their actions may serve the promotion of the human person and the common good of all.
