Kohima, 10 April (MTNews): The Kohima Campus of Nagaland University hosted a significant outreach session on Fullbright Fellowship on 9 April at the Conference Hall, Department of English with active participation from faculty, officers, research scholars, and students.

The session, organized by Nagaland University, aimed to provide valuable insights into the Fullbright Fellowship program, which serves as a prestigious opportunity for academic and cultural exchange between the United States and other countries, a press release from the University said.

Professor GT Thong, the Pro Vice Chancellor of Kohima Campus, expressed his enthusiasm for the event, highlighting its importance in fostering international collaborations and enriching academic experiences. He commended the efforts of the organizing committee for bringing together such a valuable initiative.

The outreach session was chaired by two esteemed resource persons, Mrs Jhulan Ghoshe and Ms Megha Roy Chatterjee, representing the United States-India Educational Foundation (USIEF). Their expertise and guidance provided attendees with comprehensive information about the Fullbright Fellowship program, its application process, and the opportunities it offers for academic and professional growth.

Professor Nigamananda Das, Head of the Department of English and the session coordinator, emphasized the overwhelming response from the audience. He underscored the importance of such sessions in empowering scholars and students with knowledge about prestigious international opportunities.
