Mount Olive College is currently hosting an Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme, organized by the Entrepreneurship Development Centre of Nagaland University, Kohima Campus, Meriema. The initiative aims to support youth aged 18 to 40 residing or studying in the Kohima district with innovative business ideas or existing businesses that have been operational for up to five years.

NU launches entrepreneurship awareness
As part of the program, 10 participants will be selected to attend a 5-day Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) at Nagaland University, Kohima Campus. These selected individuals will have the opportunity to enhance their business ventures with a start-up grant of Rs. 5 lakh from the Incubation Centre, designed to help turn their business plans into successful enterprises.

The project, sponsored and managed by the North Eastern Council (NEC) and the Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship, is free of registration fees for participants. Upcoming sessions of the Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme are scheduled for August 28, 2024, at Sazolie College, Kohima, and August 30, 2024, at St. Joseph’s College, Jakhama.

Dr Dhrubajyoti Bordoloi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, is serving as the Coordinator for the Entrepreneurship Development Programme at Nagaland University. Dr Ditalak Mpanme, also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management, is the Joint Coordinator for the program.
