Mokokchung, 12 January (MTNews): The 39th general conference of the Ongpangkong Kaketshir Mungdang (OKM) is scheduled to be held from 17 to 19 January 2024 at Küpza village, Mokokchung under the theme ‘Liberated Education.’ Küpza village, one of the oldest Ao Naga villages, is a medium-sized village with about 230 households, located about 15 km from Mokokchung town. About 600 delegates from the various units of OKM will be attending this triennial students’ conference.

Metsubo Jamir, Minister, RD and SIRD, will be the chief guest of the conference. The Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer, will be the inaugural guest of honor, while MLA and Advisor for Minority Affairs and Sericulture, Imkongmar, will be the valedictory guest of honor.

Dr Lanurenla, Principal, Sao Chang College, Tuensang, and Chubayanger, Deputy Labour Commissioner & CEO, NBOCWWB, Nagaland, will be the main speakers of the conference. Meanwhile, Dr Sashiyangba, District Project Officer, Tseminyu, and Likokba, JDA, Treasuries & Accounts, Nagaland, and founder of Insight NPSC Educational Trust, Nagaland, will be the resource persons.
