The MTBA Youth Department, Salangtem Ward Youth Fellowship organized a literary event under the name “OMNIFIC 2022” on 8th May 2022. The main focus of this event was to explore and uplift the uncapped talents of the youths in the fellowship, an update from the Youth Fellowship said.

 

 

The theme of the event was based on “Stewardship of Talents” taken out from the Biblical verse 1 Peter 4:10-11. The program was launched from 2:00 PM at Salangtem Fellowship Church. The entire event comprised of a formal inaugural session followed by the competitions and prize distribution ceremony. In the Inaugural Session, God’s blessing was invoked by Ms. Pangerjungshila, Youth Mentor, MTBA and the speaker was Mr. Monglier, Associate Pastor MTBA. In his speech, he said that everyone is unique and different with their own talents and gifts. He further exhorted the youth to use their God given gifts to serve and glorify Him.

 

The convenor for the event was Ms. Moamenla Longkumer and the committee members were Ms. Temjenjungla Longchar and Dr. Imtilong. For the competition sessions, the events were Spoken Word Poetry, Ad Lib, Spell Bee (Ao), Debate, Solo and Bible Quiz. The competition was divided into two sessions. The Panel of Judges for all these events were Mrs. A. Aotula Lemtur, Mr. Temjenzungba, Dr. Toshi Pongen, Mr. Temjen Tzudir, Mrs. Shilula Imchen (Asso. Pastor MTBA, Women), Mr. Lanuteka, Mrs. Imlamongla Amer and Mr. Akumnungsang.

 

 

There was also a Photography competition based on the theme “Compassion” and the winners were adjudged through a ballot voting system from the spectators. The entire day’s event was concluded by prize distribution ceremony followed by refreshment. “It was a blessed event for the young people to unwind themselves from the stress and showcase their talents. It was also a good opportunity to commune together in the house of the Lord,” the update further said.
