Pfutsero Government College has expressed gratitude to the Department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, for allotting a new college bus to improve student transportation and access to higher education.

The bus was flagged off on July 2 at the Directorate of Higher Education in Kohima by Sarita Yadav, Secretary, Higher and Technical Education, in the presence of V. Lovitoly Sema, Ex officio Director of Higher Education. Pfutsero Government College and Sao Chang College, Tuensang, were the two beneficiary institutions.
The college said the bus would greatly benefit students who commute daily from distant villages, including Rukizu and Pfutseromi Village, by making travel safer, reducing transportation costs and improving punctuality and attendance.
It added that the vehicle would also support participation in educational tours, sports, cultural events and other co curricular activities.
Expressing appreciation to the Department of Higher Education and the Government of Nagaland, the college reaffirmed its commitment to making the best use of the facility to promote inclusive, accessible and quality higher education.
