During the ongoing departmental district tour, Dr Mereninla Senlem inaugurated the new building of the Health and Wellness Centre (HWC), Changki, while Temjenmenba, Hon’ble MLA and Advisor for Transport and Technical Education, Nagaland, inaugurated the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Longnak, on April 16.

Addressing participants during the inauguration, Dr Mereninla Senlem, Principal Director, Health and Family Welfare, said it was an honour to inaugurate the new HWC building at Changki. She described it as a gift from the Government of India to the people, bringing healthcare to their doorstep.
She urged the community to maintain a healthy lifestyle to prevent the rise of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) and mental health issues. In conclusion, she appreciated the active participation of the community and called for continued contributions to support the growth and upkeep of the health centre for a better healthcare system.
Temjenmenba, while inaugurating PHC Longnak, lauded the efforts made by village councils around Longnak, the contributions of landowners, and the support of the community in achieving the milestone. He urged health workers to continue serving humanity with dedication.

The team from the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Kohima, along with officials from the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Mokokchung, visited PHC Sabangya and also inspected the ongoing construction sites of PHC Khensa and Ayush Hospital, Chungtia.
The team also visited CHC Mangkolemba and held a coordination meeting with representatives of the administration, HCMC, CBOs, FBOs, and staff of CHC Mangkolemba at the ADC Office Hall, Mangkolemba.
The directorate team will inspect construction sites at IMDH and hold a district review meeting on April 17, 2026.
