As part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva campaign, the Public Health Engineering Department, Mokokchung conducted a Swachhata Talk, Swachhata Pledge Taking, and Tree Plantation Drive with the students of Mount Moriah School, Ungma, on 27th September 2024.

On the occasion, the District Coordinator, Tsungrusongla Jamir, enlightened the students about the importance of the campaign and its objective of achieving a cleaner, healthier, and safer India. She stated that cleanliness is not just about personal hygiene; it is about our health, environment, and the way we feel in a community. She added that students play a key role in contributing to a clean India since they are our future generation. They can contribute through a few simple actions, such as disposing of their waste properly, refusing and reducing the use of single-use plastics, maintaining personal hygiene, saving water, and planting trees.

Furthermore, the Swachhata Pledge was administered by the district IEC Consultant, Rongsentola. The Tree Plantation Drive was carried out within the premises of the school. In addition, a Swachhata Selfie Point was set up to promote cleanliness and civic responsibility among the students.
