Preparations for the centenary celebration of the Ao Kaketshir Mungdang (AKM), scheduled to be held at Waromung Village in 2029, were formally launched today.
AKM officials, accompanied by members of the AKM Centenary Committee, visited Waromung Village to mark the beginning of preparations for the historic celebration. The delegation was warmly received by the Waromung Village Council, AKM Centenary Local Planning Committee, Waromung Baptist Church and villagers.
During the visit, the delegation inspected the proposed venue for the centenary celebration and reviewed plans for the establishment of a dedicated Centenary Village.
The proposed Centenary Village is envisioned as a key feature of the 2029 celebration and is expected to serve as a landmark venue for commemorating the centenary of the organisation.
