Phek, 25 August (MTNews): Phek District is gearing up to mark its 50th Anniversary this December.
In this regard, the Organizing Committee responsible for commemorating Phek District’s 50th anniversary conducted a review meeting under the chairmanship of DC Phek, Kumar Ramnikant IAS, who also serves as the Convener of the Planning & Organizing Committee. The meeting took place at the DC’s conference hall in Phek on 25 August.
During the meeting, the discussions centered on the responsibilities assigned to various committees tasked with organizing the upcoming celebration scheduled for December 21st, 2023, at Phek Headquarters. Financial matters were a focal point of the deliberations, with conveners and co-conveners of different committees offering comprehensive briefings to ensure the successful execution of the event, a DIPR report said.
Dignitaries including President of Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO), Vezuhu Keyho; President of Chakhesang Mothers’ Association, Zhonelu Tunyi; and former Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Z Lohe attended the meeting and shared their motivational insights, it said.
EAC Phek Headquarters, C. Tsalimse Sangtam delivered closing remarks, concluding the productive review meeting, it added.
