Phek, 27 October (MTNews): In the ongoing Inter School Football Tournament organized by the 38 Assam Rifles, Phek Battalion, Christian Mission School (CMS) Phek Town, GHSS Phek Town (Team A), Bishop Abraham Memorial School (BAMS) Phek Town, and GHS Losami booked their semifinal berths in the boys’ category today. The semifinal and final matches are to be played tomorrow.
In a thrilling quarter final match today, CMS Phek Town defeated Baptist Mission School, Phek Village by 3-0 goals. GHSS Phek (Team A) defeated GHSS Phek (Team B) by 3/0 goals; BAMS Phek Town downed GHS Phek Village by 8/3 goals, while GHS Losami won over Kiddies Corner School, Phek Town by 3/1 goals in the other quarterfinal matches.
In the semifinals, CMS Phek Town will play against GHS Losami while GHSS Phek Town will face off against BAMS Phek Town.
Meanwhile, in the girls’ category, GHS Losami will clash with GHSS Phek Town in the final to be played tomorrow afternoon.
Winners in both categories will be awarded with trophies, cash awards and proficiency certificates.
