The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) has announced that the Indoor Cricket Academy in Dimapur will be virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 28, 2026.
In an official statement, the association said it is “honoured to announce the virtual inauguration of the Indoor Cricket Academy, Dimapur, Nagaland, by the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.” The facility has been funded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Describing the project as a major step forward, the NCA said the academy is a “state-of-the-art facility” that “marks a significant milestone in the growth of cricket infrastructure in Nagaland.” It added that the academy will provide “young and aspiring cricketers with access to improved training facilities, year-round practice opportunities, and a stronger platform to develop their skills.”
The association said the upcoming inauguration represents “a proud moment for Nagaland cricket” and a meaningful step towards nurturing the next generation of players from the region.
