The NWA Media Cell issued a statement noting that similar training is currently being undertaken by the Lotha Wrestling Association (LWA). The statement also mentioned that a separate state-level Naga-style wrestling championship for non-affiliated communities, apart from the current NWA units (Angami, Chakhesang, and Zeliang), is planned for March 2025.

Pochury youth were encouraged to prepare for this championship. Additionally, Naga-style wrestling will be introduced during the Asian Alysh Belt Wrestling Championship in November 2024, with over 20 nations confirmed to participate, NWA informed.
