The Directorate of Printing & Stationery, Nagaland, Kohima, bid farewell today to its outgoing Director, Neituolie Phewhuo, who retired after completing 35 years of service at the age of 56.

According to the Department’s Media Cell, Phewhuo joined the service on May 16, 1990, and served in various capacities before taking over as Director on May 1, 2021. He held the post of Head of Department for four years.

At a farewell ceremony held at the Directorate Conference Hall, retiring Director Neituolie Phewhuo expressed his gratitude to his predecessors for their guidance and support, stating that “the senior and elderly advice never led anyone in the wrong direction; rather, it truly motivates and inspires with zeal and enthusiasm.” He also thanked the officers and staff for their hard work, dedication, and unwavering support throughout his career. He urged the department’s staff to continue cooperating with their superiors for the upliftment of the department and to work towards fulfilling the Government’s dreams and aspirations.

Joint Director Jongpongtoshi, speaking on behalf of the Department, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the Director’s dedication, visionary leadership, and notable achievements during his tenure. These included the inauguration of the Branch Press in Chumoukidima, major construction works, and the upcoming Director’s quarters, which are in the pipeline. He also congratulated Phewhuo on completing 35 years of dedicated service.

In a first for the department, the complete pension papers were formally handed over to the retiring Director during the ceremony. Phewhuo expressed his happiness and appreciation for the commendable work done by the Pension Cell officers.

The ceremony was chaired by Registrar L Ongpa Phom. Short speeches were delivered by Subhash Arambam and T Akala, Assistant Directors of the Branch Press Offices in Mokokchung and Chumoukidima respectively.

Officers and staff from the Directorate and both Branch Press Offices attended the program.
