Chumoukedima, 4 September (MTNews): Members of the Project Constitutional Justice (PCJ) led by Amvito K Aomi, a community youth leader, investigated the Thilixu-Chekiye-Ikishe road. The said road stretch traverses Thilixu block no. 1, Thilixu block no. 5, and Chekiye block no. 6, PCJ said in a statement.

PCJ stated that the revelations on the Thilixu-Chekiye-Ikishe road are a stark reminder of the urgent need for action. “The voices of these communities have been heard, and their cries for justice echo through every pothole, crater, and neglected stretch of this road,” it said.

Stating that the PCJ team vows to carry these stories forward, advocating tirelessly for the improvement of Nagaland, they called upon government authorities, stakeholders, and the entire Nagaland state to join hands in rectifying the injustice that has persisted for far too long due to apathy and evident negligence of the government.

The PCJ has submitted a complaint letter to the Deputy Commissioner of Chumoukedima on the “distressing state” of Kushiabill Road saying that it demands immediate attention and rectification.

“The critical state of this infrastructure has rightly triggered public outcry, highlighting the government’s apparent neglect of its duty 2to provide safe and adequate transportation infrastructure,” it wrote.

While requesting the DC’s intervention and immediate action, it expressed hope that the DC will take the matter with the seriousness it warrants, “considering the infringement upon Constitutional Rights and the distress experienced by the affected citizens.”

The PCJ letter was appended by its project director, Dr Aniruddha Babar.
