A three-day Children’s Festival, organized by the Children Ministry under the Sumi Aphuyemi Baptist Akukuhou Kuqhakulu (SABAK), got underway at Natsumi Village, Pughoboto, on January 10, 2025.
On the second day of the festival, Y Vikheho Swu, former Minister and MLA from Pughoboto Constituency, graced the event as the speaker. He urged the gathering to live righteously and commended the SABAK Women’s Ministry, Evangelical Ministry, Urban Ministry, and the Children’s Ministry for their ongoing work in spreading God’s word.
Drawing examples from the Bible and the life of Billy Graham, Swu emphasized how Graham was greatly influenced by his Sunday School teachers, encouraging them to do the same for the children. He further urged the Sunday School teachers to rededicate themselves to the work of the Lord, highlighting that children are the future.
Commending the host Natsumi Village, Swu described it as one of the best and most picturesque villages in the region. He urged the gathering to make full use of the talents given by God and bring glory to His name. He elaborated that God-given talents are unique to each individual and encouraged everyone to tap into their abilities, regardless of the field.
The festival is set to conclude on January 12.
