Mokokchung, 24 March (MTNews): In an endeavor to combat the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS and educate the youth, the Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of Fazl Ali College, in collaboration with the Medical Youth Fellowship MTBA, organized a Community Extension Service on the theme ‘Peer Sensitization on HIV/AIDS.’ The event aimed to raise awareness and foster understanding among the younger generation.
The program, held on 24 March 2024 at the Medical Fellowship Church, was attended by RRC Nodal Officers and student members of FAC and community youth members. Yashikala Jamir, RRC Nodal officer FAC, advocated the importance of peer education in addressing the stigma surrounding HIV/AIDS. She emphasized the pivotal role that young people can play in fostering supportive environments and to make informed decisions regarding their well-being.
Sentienla Kichu chaired the program and the RRC student members actively participated at the proceedings of the event.
