Kohima, July 25 (MTNews): Sericulture Department, Nagaland, and Capacity Building & Training Division, Central Silk Board, Bangalore jointly organized a 4-day Resource Development Program on Eri Silk Development Projects under Silk Samagra-2 from the 19th to 22nd July 2022 at Sericulture Department Conference Hall, Kohima.

Sericulture Officers along with staff from Zunheboto, Mon, Tuensang, and Longleng District and members of NGOs from Mokokchung district participated in the program.

 

T. Sanny Pongener, Director of Sericulture, chaired the inaugural session on the 19th of July 2022 in presence of Henkhahao Singson, NCS, Commissioner & Secretary, Department of Sericulture, Nagaland. The resource persons from Central Silk Board, Assam Agricultural University, NABARD, Nagaland University, and Ava Creations Social Impact Foundation, Guwahati imparted the training covering topics on soft skills, financial management, entrepreneurship models, eri silk production value chain, marketing, and development of location-specific action plan. Dr. Siddique Ali Ahmed, Scientist D, CSB, Bangalore was the Coordinator for the said program.

 

Mhathung Kikon, Additional Director, handed over certificates to the participants during the valedictory function and lauded the participants for their active participation and the resource persons for their sincere time and efforts. Vikehelie Pienyu, Deputy Director & Local Coordinator proposed the vote of thanks.
