Mokokchung, March 17 (MTNews): The Rising People’s Party said today that it was in total support of the demands and representations submitted to the Department of Higher and Technical Education by the ENCSU, who had served an ultimatum to the H&TE department, demanding for functioning of the New Model College, Wakching, Mon District, by 2022 session.
“The RPP is flabbergasted to learn that the degree college remains inoperative even after being inaugurated on the 3rd February 2021. This kind of obtuse system of functioning of the H&TE has proved to be destructive both for the future of aspiring students as well as for the pace of development for the State as a whole,” RPP said in a press statement.
The RPP said that it supports the ENCSU’s rightful demand in recognizing the potential, whether it is the prospect of opportunity created for further studies or in creating relief in terms of employment for the thousands of well educated intellectuals.
The RPP pleaded the H&TE Department to shun ignorance and take up the matter urgently at the earliest so as to cater to the future aspirations of the students and also to avoid any unpleasant situations that may arise because of it. The Party also reminded the H&TE department that “any form of excuse and delay tactics concocted by the government for its selfish motives will only prove to be adding salt to the wounds of the Naga people.”
