Mokokchung, February 3 (MTNews): In a new development that is expected to be a major boost to the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP), former MLA S Chuba Longkumer has resigned from the Naga People’s Front (NPF) on Thursday and has joined the NDPP.
According to a press release, the former MLA along with his team joined the ‘Globe party’ in Mokokchung today stating that “the political development has come as a major boost to the NDPP of 24 Angetyongpang Assembly Constituency.”
Former Independent MLA and NDPP candidate Tongpang Ozukum was the sitting MLA from 24 Angetyongpang Assembly Constituency until he resigned last month.
Meanwhile, S Chuba Longkumer said his joining the NDPP party was to “strengthen the leadership of Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and NDPP President Chingwang Konyak.”
