The Department of Power, Electrical Division Mokokchung, has informed that the 1.6 MVA, 33/11 kV transformer at Sabangya was damaged on October 11, resulting in disruption of power supply to several villages.
According to a press release issued by the Executive Engineer, Er. Chutsusie Thowachu, the affected areas include Chungtia, Aliba, Kinunger, Satier (New Aliba Village), New Camp, and Sabangya.
The department has requested the affected villages to bear with the inconvenience caused and assured that all possible efforts are being made to restore power supply at the earliest.
