Mokokchung, March 20 (MTNews): The Salangtem Ward Yimden has cautioned all the traders, especially those engaged in the sale of meat, fish and chicken within the Ward’s jurisdiction not to hike prices on their own and to follow the price rates fixed by the Mokokchung Municipal Council.
The traders are also required to display the MMC price boards at all times. Chairman of Salangtem Ward Yimden, Lanuakum, said that regular inspection will be done in the market within their jurisdiction and added that defaulters would be penalized as per Salangtem Ward resolutions.
Further, he also said that customers should also be aware of the existing price rates fixed by the Municipal Council and that they should not pay more than is stipulated by the competent authority.
