Kohima, February 26 (MTNews): Samagra Shiksha Nagaland will be conducting School Management Committee (SMC) and School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) Members training under SMC & SMDC Training and Meeting Programme in all the ERBCs from February 28 to March 12.

 

Temsunaro Aier, State Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha, informed that the training program will involve three members from each SMC / SMDC.

The training program will focus on correct data collection in the Unified District Information System for School Education (UDISE) exercise as “accurate data collection by the schools is vital to understand the actual status of the schools in the State.” This was stated in a release issued by Kelhikha Kenye, Deputy Mission Director, Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland.

 

“All the programs, activities and planning under School Education is based on UDISE data of the schools. As such, accurate UDISE data has become extremely important,” the release further said. Besides UDISE exercise, the training will focus on all the critical core components of the Ministry of Education, Government of India, implemented through Samagra Shiksha to create wide public awareness and orient the community leaders of its roles and functions in the implementation of various programs and activities in the state to improve overall holistic quality education.

 

Six teams of officials from the State Mission Office headed by Joint Mission Directors and Deputy Mission Directors will be deputed to conduct the training program as resource persons.
